megan earns LEED accreditation
encourages sustainable building
the LEED (leadership in energy and environmental design) green building rating system is a voluntary program that sets the standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings that are designed and built to protect and benefit our natural environment.
this past november, megan passed an exam that distinguishes her as a LEED version 2.1 accredited professional, and compliments matt's version 2.0 professional accreditation that he achieved in june 2004.
the exam, which is administered by the united states green building council, recognizes through accreditation an individuals' understanding of green building practices and principles, and familiarity with LEED requirements, resources, and processes. it is megan's intent to utilize the knowledge and resources gained through this process on all msa projects, whether or not they are pursuing LEED certification.
