Our clients found a peaceful, wooded lot on the Breckenridge Golf Course and just steps to the Breckenridge Nordic Center trails. This site fit the active family's needs perfectly and it was up to MSA to design a home that would take full advantage of this site.

The initial program called for a rustic and cozy second home that would be shared with the owner's children and grandchildren, and could be rented out to short-term vacationers. As the project progressed, the owners shifted their thinking and realized that this home would become a special gathering place for their family - a now growing family.

Bedrooms, a living area, and a bathroom were added over the garage and what was once looked at as a caretaker cabin now became another bedroom and living area for the family. The home still maintains a rustic and cozy feel through the use of unique finishes, and the entire family fits under one roof!
