LEED / green building programs
as a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), we stay informed about new technologies that relate to sustainable design, and establish priorities for construction based on the effects on the environment. in 1994, the USGBC developed a program that rates and defines green buildings known as LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).
after attending several workshops and seminars, matt became a LEED Accredited Professional in Junly 2004 (version 2.0). Megan November, our office manager, followed suit and earned LEED version 2.1 Professional Accreditation in November 2005.
We've taken several projects through varying stages of the LEED programs, and have the professional contacts and experience which we can put to work for you. We also have experience with many other green building programs:
- Green Globes
- Energy Star
- Built Green Colorado
- NAHB Model Green Building Guidelines
- Passive House US
- Summit Sustainable Building Code
MSA knowledge of several national green building programs, helps clients find and use the programs that bring the greatest value to their projects, through education and awareness.
And most importantly, our clients gain the knowledge to understand the important issues, establish priorities, and make informed decisions that will carry forward to create a successful project.
