working long distance
we love working face-to-face. Theres nothing more exciting than going out to a beautiful building site on a nice day with a client, discussing opportunities, and possible an impromptu design charrette.
However, these days, most clients either live afar, or travel for business, and so long distance communication becomes important, especially if the project schedule is tight, as so many are. We're used to that, and have developed ways to effectively work over long distances without sacrificing the communication that's critical to a successful project.
MSA's website includes a 'client portal' which links to our internet-based project management application, known as basecamp (see 'links'). This allows the entire team to keep track of the project over the internet, with our website acting as both the message board for current discussions, as well as the on-line project archive. Makes it easier for clients, and MSA staff as well! This service is included on all applicable projects.
