INTEGRATED SUSTAINABILITY

Sustainability is at the core of what we do. We care about our impact on the environment and believe we can effect change through design. With a proven track-record of producing high-performance structures, SAI (formerly known as Matthew Stais Architects) has been recognized both statewide and locally for our achievements in green building designs. Along with earning LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification and being an EPA Energy Star partner, we designed the first building in Colorado to be GBI Green Globes certified and the first home in Breckenridge to incorporate ground source heat. We love digging into the most recent technologies on sustainable materials, systems, and practices, so that we may deliver on innovation from the outset of your project.

That’s where the idea of integrated sustainability comes into focus – we see the cost benefit and critical effectiveness of collective visioning, upfront goal setting, interdisciplinary collaboration, and ongoing partnership in making a project truly sustainable. SAI promotes integrated sustainability for better overall project success – it is a means of achieving maximum energy efficiency, lowering costs, and increasing overall building performance. Smart, sensitive design considers this dynamic balance between both user needs and long-term impacts, while enhancing the built environment around us.
